Dimetronic in Turkey

Invensys Rail Dimetronic started its activity in the Turkish railway market in 2008, after being awarded the contract to supply and install the FUTUR 1300 Level 1 ERTMS system and the associated signalling on the Ankara-Konya High Speed Line.

In January 2010 the company was awarded the installation of the FUTUR 2500 Level 2 ERTMS system on the same line, and in August 2011 the 212 km line between Ankara and Konya was officially opened, with a travel time of 90 minutes and a maximum speed of 250 km/h.

Finally, in November 2011, Invensys Rail Dimetronic was awarded the contract to provide and implement railway signalling and control technologies for the Gebze-Halkali line, known as the Marmaray project, which will link the European side of Istanbul with the Asian one through a railway tunnel under the Bosphorus Strait.
