References
Thales Transportation Systems is present in the rail signalling with electronic interlockings, ETCS Level 1 and 2, telecommunication and video surveillance of the high speed lines in commercial operation in Spain:
- Madrid-Seville (year 1992).
- Madrid-Toledo (year 2005).
- Córdoba- Málaga (year 2007).
- Madrid- Valladolid (year 2007).
- Lérida- Barcelona (year 2008).
And the Madrid-Valencia/Albacete and Barcelona-Figueras lines actually under construction. Also it is carrying out the signalling and train control project for the new tunnel Madrid Atocha-Chamartín and converging commuter lines, that means the first application in the world of the European standard ERTMS/ETCS system on commuter lines.
In metro networks, the Transportation System Division has presence in Metro de Madrid with access control systems and communication networks with different radio systems and multiservice IP solutions. Thales has supplied the Operation Control Centre for Metro Bilbao.
