The company was founded in Bilbao (Spain) in 1957 with the aim of offering the incipient Spanish market professional and independent services in the field of engineering, concentrating on the management of projects and construction. IDOM’s objective in the field of Railway Engineering is to offer a complete service, from the initial concept of the project to the commissioning and operation of railway systems providing consultancy services, projects and the supervision of railway construction infrastructures, as well as the multimodal transport of passengers and cargo, including studies to define High Speed Railway networks and the construction of urban tram and light railway systems.
