Icer Rail is a new Joint Venture established by Icer Brakes (Berkelium Group) and Knorr-Bremse Systeme für Schienenfahrzeuge GmbH for the development and production of organic brake pads and brake blocks for railway vehicles.

Through the cobined competence and experience of the founding Companies, Icer Rail can offer to the customer all advantages of friction materials developed together with the braking system.

Icer Rail developes, manufactures and offers the widest product portfolio of organic Brake Blocks covering the complete range of friction coefficients LL (very low), L (low), K (high) and KK (very high) for locomotives, passenger coaches, freight wagons and metros following UIC standards. Also Icer Rail leads the project of cast iron replacement blocks (for freight and supplementary brake block for coaches) in compliance with EU for Rolling Noise Reduction.

Icer Rail develops, manufactures and offers organic Brake Pads for Locomotives, Passenger coaches, Multiple Units (EMU & DMU), metros and trams taking into account customers’ needs and specifications (Noise, Temperature, Humidity) and giving to its customers the optimum Quality and LCC, with low wear and good behaviour of Pads and Discs.
